Counting the Beat: Types Of Guitars!

 Kia ora viewers,

In Hurumanu 2 our class have been learning about music. This week we are finding out about guitars. I already knew some stuff about guitar because I have a bass! Some things I know is they have 6 strings. The bottom strings make a higher sound, There are turning keys so the strings make a different sound.

Some stuff I learnt was ther are 4 types of guitars like Acoustic, Eclectic, Spanish and bass! The shapes/ sizes looks different to each one.

About The guitar: At the top of a guitar is a head stock with the turning keys. The part under the head stock is the nut. It's the white part that keeps the strings together. Then there's a fret. The fret is the part where you place your finger on. Then there is the body of the guitar. There's other parts of the guitar that is on this image!

Types of singers that play the guitar:

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmi Page, Keith Richards, Ed Sheern, Jeff Beck, B.B King, Chuck berry, Eddie Van Halen.

I've probably been playing the bass for a couple of months now! How many strings do you think a bass have, and have you ever played a type of guitar?

Skittles Colours Experiment

 Aim:

I want to find out what happens when you mix Skittle colours.

Method:

Equipment

  • Skittles
  • Petri dish
  • Warm water
  • Beaker
  • White background
Instructions

  1.  Get your equipment.
  2.   Place your petri dish on the the white background.
  3.   Put your skittles around the inside edge of the petri dish.
  4.   Pour warm water gently into the middle of the petri dish.
  5.   Observe what happens.
Prediction:

I think the colour of the skittles is gonna fade and make a weird colour altogether and make a interesting  image.

Results:

I saw the colour of each skittle slowly dissolving into the water. The colours spread out in a circle until the colours ran into each other.

Discussion:

  1. The colours dissolved ( when a solid is mixed into a liquid, creating a solution).                              Why did the colours spread? Skittles are coated with food colouring and sugar. When you pour water on the skittles the coloured coating dissolves making the colour spread through the water. Where the there was a low concentration of colour.

The Treaty Of Waitangi

Konnichiwa,

Today in hurumanu 1, we are currently answering questions that are very confusing but make sense. The

1 question: first question my buddy and I chose asked us to list unusual places that a treaty/contract could be signed.

Answer 1:  My partner and I suggested inside the toilets, in the middle of sports games/meetings, inside a gondola and inside a submarine.

Question 2: If no one at all could translate the Treaty of Waitangi, how would life in New Zealand be different?

Answer 2: They might be in a war with the British once again.

What are more unusual questions that are related to the Treaty of Waitangi would you like to see? Thanks for checking out my post! Bye :)
