Language Feature EDITING!

Kia ora readers,

Today I have done some more editing for my language feature! I got some words from thesaurus. I will put the link in if you wanna have a look! thesaurus It's a site that can make boring words into something WAY MORE stronger!

Here is some of my changes! :)

The door of the decrepit hospital was wide open… I slowly creaked inside. There were deadly spider webs everywhere, bumpy walls and old broken medicines. I went to the highest stage to check it out. Shudder, quake, shake! “H-huh? What’s that?’ I said allowed. I realized that the building was actually making those shake noises! It was an EARTHQUAKE!

The building started to shake more! SMASH! “OH NO-” I screeched! A patch of building came down on me.. I gently fainted.. Tears came down my eyes...

2 hours later….

I woke up... I thought this was already over.. But no…. More pieces came down on me, I couldn’t lift it up. I had a hard time breathing and made me WAY MORE painckey of seeing all the dead bodys around me. Until I found this big emergency axe on my right.

I slowly snatced the axe and the only thing I said to myself now was DIE as a 9th grader or get the axe a-and cut my own leg off. That was the only thing I could do. That’s it! I calmly lifted the axe up high and! SQUASH!

Thank you for reading some of my changes! Have a amazing day! :D

Language Feature Writing! :D

Kia ora readers!

This week our class has been doing some language feature writing! First we had to make a plan the story and write problems about it! I have made a story about me in a abandoned Hospital and I was dared to go there. Then we made the story!

(We had to put in the action in first)

Here is some of my writing ( I couldn't fit all of my paragraphs in )

 THE ABANDONED HOSPITAL 😷

“AHHHH” I screamed for help! I couldn’t take it anymore.. I was so stuck and the only thing I said to myself was die as a 9th grader... Or get the axe an-

Wait, wait WAIT! Let me start over again.. It was around 11:30pm…

I was at a sleepover with my friends. It was past our bedtime. One of my friends dared me to go to an abandoned hospital. None of them believed me to actually go there but I did..

The door of the hospital was wide open… I slowly creaked inside. There were deadly spider webs everywhere, thumpy walls and old broken medicines. I went on the highest floor to check it out. Shake, shake, shake! “H-huh?” What’s that I said? The building started to shake more! I panicked..

CRASH! “OH NO-” I screamed! A piece of building came down on me.. I slowly fainted.. Tears came down my eyes…

2 hours later….

I woke up.. I thought this was already over.. But no….

Super Sunny Sports with Awesome Features!

Hola my Amazing readers,

This week our class has been writing recounts using language features. So that now we have learnt all of these language features this term we need to use them for our writing.

Here are the language features we have been learning about for the past weeks:

  1. Onomatopoeia - ‘Bang’
  2. Metaphor - “You are the sun!’
  3. Personification “The clouds danced across the sky.”
  4. Hyperboles - “I was so embarrassed I would have stuck my head in the toilet to hide.”
  5. Alliteration - “It was time for super Sunday sports.”
  6. Dialogue - “Don’t move,” Ellenessa whispered.

So the first thing we did was answer in our documents the questions: who, why, what, where, and how. We wrote down these ideas in bullet points. Then we looked for the places where we could include ur language feature. We highlighted the different language feature words. Then we started a story with language features.

Here are some questions I did for: What.

  • Fun friday super sport
  • Bell rings
  • Go to your bag and get, water bottle, sin pads, mouthguard, hockey stick.
  • Line up in your group
  • Walk over to kyle park - teacher says move aside for the cars
  • Run to coach
  • Start training before the game starts.
  • Game: Find positions, Get hockey sticks/sin pads.
  • In the gym to choose player of the day - really thirsty- Take off hockey boots, knock them together really loud to make them clean, take off sin pads, go into the gym to see who gets the player of the day.

Here are some winter sport photos!

Thank you for coming have a great day! :)
